International Projects

These projects aim to develop the higher education sector through institutional building and capacity building of academic staff. Subsequently, the role of the university will be enhanced in terms of serving community and achieving sustainable development. Furthermore, participating in this kind of projects is by preparing and submitting project proposals from the academic staff at the University under the supervision of the ICO and in cooperation with local and international partners according to local and international needs. Erasmus+ program is considered one of the best and largest programs that offer this type of projects.

Building Capacity for university management in the ENPI South region

The project aims to strengthen the capacities of Libyan Higher Education Institutions and their staffs to enhance and reform their national research system. Therefore, it addresses the objectives of the CBHE action aiming to enhance the management, governance and innovation capacities, as well as the internationalization of Higher Education Institutions. The proposal addresses sufficiently the selected priority- Modernization of governance, management and functioning of Higher Education Institutions, especially the topic ‘Development of research and innovative capacities’ that is a valid national priority for Libya.

SAHA aims to increase education readiness in response to Libya’s main challenges, i.e., peace enforcing, healthcare access for Libyan population, public health, employment and economic growth. Especially within the field of healthcare services, the objective is to enhance the relevance of higher education in the field of Healthcare Management, improve the level of competences and skills in Libyan HEIs by developing new and innovative education programmes in Performance and Healthcare Management, promote voluntary convergence of training offers in Healthcare Management of Libyan HEIs, with developments in this filed in European HEIs, and foster a peaceful and safe environment for teaching, learning and doing research.

The General Objectives of EnBrain project: 

This project aims to raise the awareness about the importance of a multi-dimensional approach to the global energy challenge and Reinforce the role of Libya universities to promote energy transition within the multidimensional targets of sustainability by creating a new class of thinkers able to cope with global energy challenges, envisage future targets for local community, support institutions in decision-making, engage citizens in sustainable practices.

The General Objectives of PAgES project: 

This project aims at contributing to the modernization of the HE in Libya through establishing a Master Course in Cross-Media Journalism.
